347C is an example of what we want from our red SimAngus cattle. He gives us hybrid vigor, adds muscle, and maintains a moderate body type. His daughters are as exceptional as his sons and he sired a group of sons in 2019 that we kept after we lost him due to an accident. He will have lasting impact on our herd.

We have wanted to include 231A in our SimAngus for several years because of the complete combination of positive traits we see from him. 214H is a red carrier son out of the 5A cow, one of our favorite cows at RedHill of any breed. He brings additional marbling and maintains a moderate type with extra muscle along with super disposition. We are very pleased with 214H's first weaned calves. They are among the slickest-haired cattle on the farm, and they remain short-haired all year round. His calves are also docile and have exceptional fleshing ability. We will continue to use him heavily in our program.

When we saw 186E in an ad in 2019, we were considering fleshing ability in our cowherd and how important that is to us. When we found out he was still available in the fall, we were able to acquire him. His pedigree is stacked with exellent cows, Gold S380, 829S, 626A, 745W, 795M, and M554. Although limited in how much we can use him because of an injury, his heifers have that brood cow look, have excellent udder quality, and exhibit overall soundness and depth of rib. His Stayability, Heifer Pregnancy, and Herdbuilder indexes are in the top 5% of the breed.

035F is a linebred Nice'n Easy and brings the density of the 132Y cattle that we appreciate. His dam, 204X, is a model cow in type and udder quality; 035F is as short haired and slick as they come. He sires moderate framed, deep ribbed progeny, with good type. His progeny are very docile and should be the low maintenance type females that we like.

We held back 916G, the best son of 24A we've had. His dam, 6240, is one of our favorite cows. She is a 69B daughter that goes back to OCC Eureka on her dam's side. His calves are light at birth and have a brood cow look at an early age. They are slick, moderate, and are sure to make excellent cows.

For some time we have realized the need of hybrid-vigor in our herd. Being 3/4 South Devon, we believe that 14J will bring that to our operation. South Devons are also proven to be good grass converters. Our first crop of 14J calves were calved in the fall of 2023. They appear to have excellent body mass and a good disposition. We look forward to seeing 14J's progeny develop.

913G is a son of 347C that we used to continue his influence and because of his flawless dam. His dam, 4160, was a near ideal cow in appearance and production. She also is from a line of proven cows in production. He has a huge rib, a deep, thick hip, and is super sound. His calves are light colored and slick, just like him and his dam; they also have good length and a notch more performance.

53B sired daughters are moderate framed and hold their condition well. He has sired lower birth progeny with good growth. His steers have been in demand by grass finishers, and the reports of his steers have been that they are good converters that have good retail product volume and quality. We have used him on heifers for several years with good success and would recommend him for use in grass finishing.
